TRNC Does Not Accept Greek Passports

Receiving Social Security and Labour Undersecretary Fikri Sahin, of the Turkish Embassy in Nicosia; Denktas evaluated news and comments about the passport issue recently circulating in the Turkish and TRNC press.

Pointing out that every country has its own passport regime, Denktas said that the TRNC does not accept the passports issued by the Greek Cypriot side, and that the Republic of Cyprus has not existed as a name since 1963.
