Transportation of oil from Turkey to Iraq by railways

Railway transportation has been high on agenda of Turkey after Turkish truck drives started to refrain from taking risks following recent attacks in Iraq.

Sources said that oil products to be transported from Turkey to Iraq are taken to ports by vessels, and loaded into railway tank cars at the ports.

Noting that a part of oil products of 2.5 tons was transported to Iraq via Syria a few days ago, sources added that another part of oil products would be sent to Iraq by railways tomorrow.
