Tourists Planning To Visit Turkey Decrease Ahead Of Likely War
When asked how much Turkey would lose its tourism revenues in the event of a war, Aksit said, "It’s early to predict that since there’s still much time to the beginning of the tourism season."
Touching on her meeting with Maycotte, Aksit believed that a tourism cooperation agreement would develop tourism relations between Turkey and Mexico.
Aksit stated that the Turkish Tourism Ministry had prepared a draft agreement and sent it to Mexican authorities in 1999, adding that Latin America was an important destination and a big market for Turkey.
According to Aksit, mutual participation in fairs, seminars, exhibitions and workshops in the tourism field would contribute to the promotion of both countries.
