Timetable not to be delayed in Cyprus
ANKARA (AA) – Turkish Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul said on Thursday that elections in Greece and formation of a new government wouldn’t suspend the ongoing talks process in Cyprus.
Holding a joint press conference with Philippines Foreign Minister Delia Domingo Albert, Gul stated that today’s new government under Costas Karamanlis was the opposition party before the elections, so they were aware of the process and hence the process wouldn’t suspend.
Asked about Turkish Cypriot Prime Minister Mehmet Ali Talat and Deputy Prime Minister Serdar Denktas’ visit, Gul responded that it was quite normal to come together with them for exchange of views.
