Tiger kills its tamer in Turkey

A Siberian tiger killed its tamer who was cleaning its cage on Wednesday at a zoo in the eastern Turkish city of Gaziantep.

Thirty-eight year old tiger tamer Mehmet Kecibesler took the Siberian tiger Volkan to another cage to clean its cage early Wednesday. However, he forgot to lock the gate of the tiger’s cage. A little later, the tiger entered the cage and tore Kecibesler to death.

It is reported that the victim has been in charge of the deers and gazelles at the zoo for four years and had only started looking after the tigers two months ago.
