Three Italy players in stands for Turkey friendly – June 4 latest

Three players from Luciano Spalletti’s Italy squad will be in the stands of the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara for the friendly match against Turkey.

The Azzurri are gearing up for their first of two friendlies ahead of the upcoming European Championship, facing Vincenzo Montella’s side on Tuesday evening before facing Bosnia on June 9th, giving the players a final warm-up ahead of the tournament in Germany.

Italy find themselves in Group B of Euro 2024, where they’ll face Albania on June 15th and Spain on the 20th, before ending their group campaign against Croatia on the 24th. Hopes are high for Spalletti’s side, who enter as defending champions.

Italy players watch on

TMW details how Nicolo Barella, Gianluca Scamacca and Ivan Provedel will all be in the stands of Bologna’s Stadio Renato Dall’Ara to watch the friendly between Italy and Turkey.

The former two did not train with their Azzurri teammates at Coverciano on Monday and will be left out as a precautionary measure, whilst the Lazio goalkeeper was not included in the match squad.
