Third Annual Turkish American Festival

The Festival was created to help people gain a greater understanding of the richly diverse and fascinating culture of present-day and ancient Turkey, which was an important crossroads of trade and travel between Asia and Europe, known as the Silk Road. As a melting pot, Turkey has a diversity of regions each with its own folk dancing, food and culture.

The Festival will be featuring fun activities for the whole family with free admission. Turkish food and drinks, including Adana kebap (a tasty Mediterranean hamburger), doner kebap (spicy barbecued meat), borek (a cheese and spinach filled pastry), baklava and other tasty treats will be on sale. Stage performances will include Turkish live music, folk dancing in beautiful authentic costumes, belly dancing and many more. Plus there will be lots of special activities for children.

The Festival is presented by the non-profit Florida Turkish American Association.
