Thessaloniki in the Baltic and Turkish markets | TornosNews.gr


The Thessaloniki Tourism Organization participated in the Roadshow Baltics 2025, which took place from 7 to 9 October in Tallinn (Estonia), Riga (Latvia), Vilnius (Lithuania), as well as in Istanbul (Turkey) on 10 October, in the context of its cooperation with the Region of Central Macedonia.

In a highly competitive “marathon” of promoting Thessaloniki in the Baltic countries and in Turkey, the Thessaloniki Tourism Organization presented the destination to markets with growing interest in the Mediterranean, through targeted B2B meetings with tourism professionals and travel agents.

The city was presented as a destination with a vibrant cultural identity and unique experiences for every visitor. Participants had the opportunity to discover:

-Cultural routes that reveal the history and tradition of Thessaloniki

-Gastronomic experiences that connect local flavors with modern trends

-Infrastructure and activities that bring the visitor into contact with authentic Thessaloniki and support professional and conference needs.

The rich information material highlighted Thessaloniki as a comprehensive tourist destination, capable of offering high-quality experiences throughout the year.

Results and prospects:

-Enhancing the awareness of Thessaloniki in new markets
-Creating conditions for new collaborations with travel agencies and organizations
-Confirming the strategic importance of approaching new markets, with the aim of developing collaborations and increasing the city’s tourism potential

The effort to promote Thessaloniki continues, with the aim of the city emerging as it deserves on the global cultural and tourist map, while maintaining its sustainability and authenticity.
