According to information provided by the US State Department, Egypt has struck a deal for surface-to-air missiles worth $4.67 billion. According to the Pentagon, Egypt may be given a possible military sale of the air defence system NASAMS package, which includes four AN/MPQ-64, Sentinel radar system, hundreds of missiles and other weapons. This is an air defence system developed by the US and Norway, which is designed to deal with drones and cruise missiles.
