There are few missing points in Iraqi constitution

Turkey’s special representative to Iraq Osman Koruturk said on Tuesday that there were few missing points in interim Iraqi constitution and Turkey had some concerns over it.

Saying that Ankara expected these missing points to be eliminated during the process of preparing a permanent Iraqi constitution in the future, Koruturk stated that Turkey expressed its concerns at official level.

He added, "Turkey has some concerns. Some clauses in the interim constitution seems that it limits the way of preparing a permanent constitution. And this is the most important missing point."

Koruturs said that the interim constitution made clear the status quo which continued in Iraq since 1970s but it mustn’t have limited the future constitution.
