The US is losing in Iraq… But who is winning?
…Al-Hakim was the spiritual and top leader of the Supreme Council for Islamic Revolution in Iraq…Younger Shiites have conducted an ongoing power struggle with the more traditional Shiite Muslim’s in Najaf and the region, conducting a political battle to grab control from the al-hakim family.
…The al-Hakims are one of the most influential families in the Shiite community in Iraq.
…Shiites make up some 60 percent of Iraq’s 24 million population.”

The killing of Ayatollah Mohammed Baqir al-Hakim is the most serious blow to the U.S. since her invasion of Iraq.
It is very clear to the world now that the U.S. cannot organize and bring law and order to the new Iraq.
The U.S. is loosing in Iraq!
But who is winning?
The Iraqis, the Shiites, the Kurds, the Sunnis?
No way, they are also on the verge of loosing in an atmosphere of chaos rising drastically each passing day!
Chaos is the winner so far!
But who benefits from the chaos?

Now, let us remember some figures.
The developed countries are doing 77 percent of the world’s production and consuming 48 percent of the world’s energy.
The U.S. is enjoying 26 percent of the world’s production only within the U.S. — the production of the U.S.-origin transnational companies’ outside of the U.S., not regarded.
The share of oil-imports in the consumption of energy within the U.S. is 55 percent by 2000.
But the U.S. Dept. of Energy openly estimates that the share of oil-imports must rise to 70 percent in 25 years from 55 percent in order to be able to continue over-all production at the level she enjoys now!
The U.S. is getting more and more “oil-import dependent” each passing year.
***
That all means the U.S. must increase her oil share in the world by 28 percent in 25 years.
That also means that the other big countries of the world like Germany, France, Russia, china has to consume around 17 percent less world oil in future assuming that oil production is fixed.
On the other hand, the Middle East countries are doing only 1.1 percent of world production and consuming only 4 percent of the world’s oil yearly.
But…
The 65.3 percent of the world oil stock is in the Middle East!
Some 25 percent of the stock is in Saudi Arabia and 10.6 percent is in Iraq.
The Middle East owns a very valuable resource she cannot consume herself.

Now, let us think again.
Who wins if the U.S. can control the Middle East?
It is obviously the U.S. and perhaps the people of Iraq.
But who wins if the U.S. cannot control the area and chaos it dominates?
