The Israeli perspective on the Israel-Palestinian conflict
At the very beginning I should say that I agree that both countries do need to understand each other better.
More than that, a positive and stronger rapprochement between these two countries may contribute to the settling down of the Middle Eastern problems in general.

The Israeli people believe that the world media does not reflect the Palestinian terror on the civilian Israeli people properly.
Around 800 people have been killed by various suicide attacks by young Palestinians to coffee houses, discos and restaurants in the last two years.
In all of these attacks only innocent and unarmed civilian people were killed.

Can terror be a way of struggle?
Is it a way of struggle for independence?
Or is terror to be condemned?
I think in answering these questions, some people in the world, but especially some Muslims, use double standards.
It is quite possible to hear from some Muslim people, "Yes, terror is terrible. but…"
According to them, terror against the Muslim world has to be condemned severely but "there are some explanations of terror activated by Muslims."
Some may even condemn the Bin Laden terror but are reluctant to use the same phrase for the Palestinian terror.
There is an implicit "justification" for the Palestinian terror, i.e. "the only way for poor people to combat an organized and strong army!"

I myself, on the contrary, believe that even if the world media sort of undermines the Palestinian terror, the Palestinian terror also undermines the Palestinian cause.
Each passing day, there are growing numbers of people even in an Islamic country such as Turkey who feel more distant to the Palestinian cause and especially to Yaser Arafat.

We the people of this area of the world should understand that we will not reach anywhere by killing each other.
Terror does endanger even the most profound and just cause.
***
Each killing is the justification of a new murder and so on!
The Palestinians are annoying, terrifying and disturbing the Israeli people but gaining nothing in solid terms.
More than that, their terrorist attacks only justify the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian land.
When I told Israeli people that they should leave the occupied land, they asked me my suggestions about how they will protect their own security then.
Unfortunately, I could not produce any logical solution.

Palestinians should eventually realize that terrorist attacks only strengthen the status quo in the area that is certainly working against their benefits.
