Temporary Halt on Security Wall’s Construction

The Sharon administration accepted a plan on Sunday (February 21) anticipating some changes in areas where the wall was being constructed. A new route for the wall was planned that passes through seven percent of the West Bank instead of 16 percent as in the previous plan.

Palestinians are opposed to the construction of the wall claiming that it paralyzes the peace process. The International Court of Justice had also decided that the wall’s construction was illegal and should be demolished.
