Tekel losing market share as sell-off looms

Sources familiar with the sale said tobacco giants such as British American Tobacco BATS.L and Altria MO.N have shown interest in the sale, expected to fetch between $2 billion and $3 billion.

Tekel general manager Sezai Ensari told Reuters in an interview the group was cutting its workforce by 3,000 from 30,500 through a retirement program. Tekel also produces spirits and salt.
