Teachers Cannot Wear Turban, But Students Can

Schröder told Bild am Sonntag weekly; Religious and state affairs are separated in Germany. We are inspired by three important traditions: Greek-Roman philosophy, Christianity and Judaism, and the legacy of enlightenment. I wanted that this should also be reflected in the EU Constitution. The Federal Constitutional Court authorizes states in taking decisions about the turban issue. In my opinion, public employees, including teachers, should not wear turban. However I cannot prevent a girl from wearing turban when going to school.

Germany is working on motions to prevent teachers from wearing turban in schools.
