Syrian Pullout Completes Its First Phase

According to military sources, Syrian units and intelligence services left the Lebanese capital Beirut and the north of Lebanon. They also quit positions in the mountains near Beirut.

The same sources confirm that 8,000 troops withdrew in the first phase, half of whom settled in the east of the Bekaa Valley while the other half have returned Syria.

Meanwhile, Lebanese security sources announced that Syrian intelligence evacuated last two centers in Tripoli and pulled out of the region completely.
