Support Needs to be Given to the Solution in Cyprus

Dervis, who came to Edirne in the Trace region for election studies, held a press conference during which he

emphasized that the CHP should obtain good results in the March 28 local polls. Evaluating the Cyprus problem during his speech, Dervis drew attention to the great imbalance between the North and the South of the Island.

Dervis underlined that a Cyprus with such imbalances will be an economic and political problem and said: If the entire island of Cyprus participates in the E.U., Turkish will be an official language of Europe. We should protect our rights and go for the reconciliation openly.
