Strategic Document Asserts Cyprus Condition

Shortly before the report was adopted, Foreign Minister Gul said that Cyprus was not a precondition for EU membership and underlined that fulfilling the Copenhagen criteria was enough to be a full member of EU.

At a press conference in Ankara, Gul said that they were contacting EU officials since yesterday on the strategic document.
