People flee after gunfire is heard inside popular shopping complex in central Bangkok.
Thai police say they have arrested a suspected gunman after a deadly shooting incident at a shopping centre in the capital, Bangkok.
Emergency services said on Tuesday at least three people were killed and three wounded in the incident at Siam Paragon. Television station Thai PBS reported five people wounded.
Multiple videos uploaded to social media showed people running out of the building.
Thailand’s Central Investigation Bureau posted an image on its Facebook page of a man they said was the suspected gunman. Reports said he was a teenager aged 14.
Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin told reporters that police were clearing the scene.
“The situation is easing,” he said.
Siam Paragon is among the most well-known in Bangkok and is popular among locals and tourists alike.
It is located at Siam Railway Station, a major hub in the capital.
