Sezer praised strength of Bahraini-Turkish relations.

President Sezer also extended another invitation for the King to pay an official visit to Turkey.

Shaikh Mohammed stressed Bahrain’s keenness to increase bilateral economic and commercial co-operation.

The Deputy Premier also laid a wreath at the tomb of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, founder of the Turkish Republic, and attended a luncheon reception hosted in his honour by his Turkish counterpart Abdulla Gul.

Shaikh Mohammed also held talks on bilateral relations with Turkish Minister of State Mohammed Edhein and Finance Minister Kamal Unakitan and later met Turkish Chamber of Commerce Union chairman Rifat Sengalou and discussed ways of stimulating commerce and economic relations.

After the talks Shaikh Mohammed and his delegation attended a dinner reception hosted in his honour by Mr Sengalou. It was attended by Mr. Gul, Turkish businessmen and guests.
