S. Korea and Turkey have renewed defense talks
The two countries met in Ankara for three days of meetings that began on Monday. Ankara and Seoul meet annually to discuss defense cooperation projects, particularly industry joint ventures.
The Turkish delegation was headed by Deputy Defense Undersecretary Omer Inak. South Korea was represented by Deputy Minister for Acquisition Lee Young-hwan.
Officials said the two countries have been discussing defense acquisition procedures. Ankara and Seoul have also been exploring several joint ventures.
