Russian Agent Performing Espionage for US Sues CIA

While the grievances of the two former Soviet agents went to the US Supreme Court, the court was also disturbed because the issue had gotten out of hand.

According to news within the US media, which did not disclose the names of the couple and merely mentioned them as John and Jane Doe, John Doe was a diplomat working for the Soviet Union when he approached the CIA about 20 years ago and proposed to leak information to US officials regarding the dissolution of the USSR.

Once the couple completed their mission, they were brought to the US and relocated. John Doe was assigned a job at a bank but was laid off when the bank merged with another one in 1997. Doe reminded the CIA of their promise when he couldn’t find employment. Doe then sued the CIA in Seattle in 2000. The case went to the Supreme Court where the Doe’s await the court’s decision.
