Prominent Turkish industrialist Asim Kibar dies at 92 – Türkiye Today

Asim Kibar, a prominent Turkish businessman and the founder and honorary chairman of Kibar Holding, has passed away at the age of 92, according to a statement released by the company.

About Asim Kibar

Born in the central Anatolian city of Kayseri, Kibar began his professional life in 1951 in the textile trade.

Between 1964 and 1970, he served at Orta Anadolu Denim Factory, a textile manufacturing company, where he held several key positions, including board member, vice chairman, and ultimately chairman.

He went on to establish Kibar Holding in 1972, which grew into a major industrial group in Türkiye.

Under his leadership, the company expanded its investments across a wide range of sectors, including aluminum, automotive, food, real estate, and energy.

Alongside his industrial ventures, Kibar was known for his strong commitment to social responsibility.

He initiated numerous projects in health and education, contributing significantly to the improvement of public welfare.

Kibar also published an autobiographical book titled “Trust Is the Most Valuable Asset,” reflecting on his business philosophy and life experiences.

Since 2014, he has remained involved in the group’s affairs as its honorary chairman, continuing to guide Kibar Holding’s vision.
