Pro-Syrian Lebanese Protest the US

"Ambassador Out, Leave my Country" were among the slogans chanted by the crowd. Security forces set up barricades 500 meters away from the embassy building keep out the protesters.

The demonstrators accused the US of pressuring Syria to withdraw troops and challenged the United Nations (UN) Security Council’s resolution 1559 that envisages a pullout of all foreign forces in the country.
