Pro-PKK TV charged with money laundering

Paris-based broadcasting monitoring institution "Conseil superiuer de l’audovisuel" announced that Medya-TV does not broadcast in the framework of broadcasting laws and in case of it could not clarify its financial sources until the end of July, broadcasting licence through satalite of this TV channel will be cancelled.

Belgian and French police had organized operations against the members of separatist terror organization PKK/KADEK under the banner of "Sputnic 2" last year. During this operations some members of PKK/KADEK had been detained and interrogated.

Belgian security and judiciary officials stated that Medya-TV could not give satisfactory information about any of its financial sources. The same sources stated that Osman Kilic, who is a member of PKK/KADEK, said in his interrogation by police that pro-PKK/KADEK businessmen gave money to the terror organization through an institution under tha name of "Kurdish Foundation Trust" in the Jersey islands which is under the control of Britain and known as the heaven of international money laundering. Kilic said that annually 20 million euros are collected for this institution to finance Medya-TV.

Medya-TV, previously known as MED-TV, has studios in the Denderleew district of Belgium, which belongs to the "Roj nv" company. The programs are recorded in these studios and transferred to Paris for broadcasting via satalite.
