President Sezer meets with President Denktash

Ankara (AA) – Turkish President Ahmet Necdet Sezer and President Rauf Denktas of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) has decided to maintain their meetings and solidarity in the current sensitive level in order to reach the most beneficial result in efforts to find a solution to the Cyprus issue.

Releasing a statement, the Presidential Press Center said on Tuesday that President Sezer and President Denktas had exchanged views about the recent developments about the Cyprus issue during their meeting. "President Sezer and President Denktas has decided to maintain their meetings and solidarity in the current sensitive level in order to reach the most beneficial result in efforts to find a solution to the Cyprus issue," the statement added.

President Denktas is expected to meet with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan later in the day.
