Pope Francis’ coffin laid in St Peter’s Square at start of funeral

The coffin of Pope Francis was laid in St Peter’s Square in the Vatican on Saturday at the beginning of his funeral. Tens of thousands of people, including dozens of head of states and world leaders, gathered to bid farewell to the pontiff who died on Monday aged 88.
