Papandreou: Patriarchate Like Your Mecca for us

During his speech at the Koc Group meeting, which was attended by Koc Holding Honorary President Rahmi Koc – on break from his world tour – CEO Bulent Ozaydinli and Koc Group top-level executers, Papandreou spoke of his party’s enthusiastic support for Turkey’s European Union (EU) membership. Koc Allianz’s central office in Altunizade, Istanbul, organized the meeting.

CEO of Net Holding, Besim Tibuk, said that it is not Greece, but Turkey, who must protect the Patriarchate. While visiting Bartholomeos, Tibuk disclosed his annoyance with the recent "ecumenism" debate. Tibuk also said that he is disturbed by Bartholomeos’ discussions on ecumenism, and the reopening of a priest school on Heybeli Island in the Marmara Sea.
