Pakistan on Monday commenced a two-week counter-terrorism drill with Egyptian soldiers in the northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
Pakistan–Egypt Joint Exercise Thunder-II began at the Special Operations School in Cherat, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistani military, said in a statement.
Special forces from both countries are participating in the exercise.
The exercise aims to strengthen “professional skills through joint training,” and further enhance “the longstanding military-to-military relations between the two friendly countries,” the statement said.
