Onuachu heads to Turkey

Paul Onuachu has moved closer to a return to Turkish giants Trabzonspor.

Both Southampton and Trabzonspor are locked in negotiations over the striker’s transfer.

Trabzonspor had a formal offer for the player rejected by the English club last summer as then Southampton manager Russel Martin convinced him to stay put.

Trabzonspor have tracked him since he posted a successful loan spell with them.

Onuachu himself has opted for Trabzonspor despite interests from England and Belgium, where he previously featured for Genk.

He is in the last year of his contract with Southampton, who were relegated from the Premier League this past season.
