Number of soldiers and duty station not certain

ANKARA (AA) – Some difficulties occured between the US and Turkey in negotiations on sending troops issue. While US said the region will be clear according to number of soldiers, Ankara responsed that first the region should be determined then the troops issue had to be made clear.

Diplomatic sources stressed that the problems’ origin was difference of approach to issues of soldiers’ numbers and their responsibility region.

According to NTV, two weeks ago during military technical delegations’ negotiations a difference of opinion occured on two subjects.

Reportedly, the US offered Ankara to take post in north and west of Baghdad but the borders of it haven’t been made clear.
