"No crisis with US officials on Iraq issue"
ANKARA (AA) – The first section of the negotiations on the military-technical level with the US is completed.
The negotiations that were carried out with the US on Turkey’s contribution to the stability power in Iraq after Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR), General James Jones’s contacts in Ankara, ended in the General Staff headquarters on the military and technical level. The contacts, which were planned to last on Tuesday, ended in one day.

The negotiations that were held today are said to have been completed without a problem in the scope of Turkey sending troops to Iraq.
An official said that the US military-technical delegation, met with the General Staff officials today and will tomorrow return the US after completing the negotiations.
Stating that the approach as the contacts have lasted short and cut half would be wrong, the official said that the US officials had only today’s meetings on their agenda.
The official also said that the dialogue between Turkey and the US will continue today as well and the military delegations will also arrive in Ankara soon, “there is no crisis regarding the meetings and the process will continue,” the official said.
