New TRNC Deputies Sworn in

National Union Party (UBP) leader and Prime Minister Dervis Eroglu, the most senior member, led the proceedings. President Rauf Denktas, High Court President Taner Erginel and Attorney-General Akin Sait were also present.

Commenting on the formation of a new government, Denktas said it would not be possible to assign this duty before Monday (December 29). He conveyed his best wishes for the future of the TRNC and said, ’50 strong people have taken oaths to protect the sovereingty of the state.’
