Never mind, nothing would happen, not to us!

This is incredible.
I knew that we did not value human life but I had not expected this to have reached such dimensions.
Our general approach can be summarized in the following manner: "Never mind, brother. Nothing would happen to us."

So, all these media reports, conferences, warnings hardly served a useful purpose.

They — including those who make so much noise when the turban issue is raised, those who raise hell on the secularism issue, finding certain decisions "hair-raising" — act so indifferently when the issue is protecting human lives.

This is sinful…This is a shame.

I am blaming those who govern Turkey.

I am blaming the bureaucracy.

I am blaming the municipalities.

I am blaming the parents.

If we are so insensitive, we can just forget about it all.

But don’t forget. Istanbul too may be next on the line.
The quake is knocking on our door.

Are we going to say, once again, "Nothing would happen to us."
