Netherlands sends three Apachi helicopters to Afghanistan
Netherlands has sent three helicopters to Kabul in order to support multi-national security forces operating in the war-torn Afghanistan.
The helicopters were handed over to Vice Commander of Air Forces, Major General Schachthöfer at Kabul international airport. “The helicopters will operate outside Kabul.They will also increase air support to ISAF soldiers,” Vice Commander of Air Forces, Major General Schachthöfer said at the ceremony.
The helicopters have anti-tank missiles, can throw missiles of 2.75 inches and can shoot 1,200 bullets through the automatic weapon of 30 mm on it. The Apachi D helicopters can fly at a speed of 245 kph.
