NATO to Fulfill Afghanistan Troop Promise
De Hoop Scheffer announced NATO’s plans during a joint press conference with Afghanistan President Hamid Kharzai on the second day of the NATO summit in Istanbul, Turkey.
Afghanistan President Hamid Kharzai said that they are very happy about NATO’s decision to deploy supplementary troops. Kharzai added that the Afghan people would be able to live more securely once the troops were on the ground.
