Motorola loses Swiss court ruling

SCHAUMBURG (ABC News) – Motorola Inc. said it will appeal a Swiss court ruling Thursday that further complicates the company’s efforts to get more than $4 billion from a billionaire Turkish family it accuses of fraud.

The Zurich District Court ruled against Motorola’s attempt to freeze assets of the Uzan family, according to a statement issued by Telsim, Turkey’s second-biggest wireless company. The Uzans, who own Telsim, said the court lifted all remaining Swiss orders freezing their assets.
