More US forces deploy in Tiqrit after Saddam’s capture
100 US military tanks and nearly 100 military jeeps entered to the Saddam Hussein’s home town on Tuesday under heavy security. Iraqi police and US troops increased their presence while two US choppers were hovering the area on the arrival of the military convoy. A street, which was called Saddam Hussein formerly, was also closed to the traffic for security reasons. Many tanks moved ahead in streets raising a cloud of dust as a show of force against Baath remnants before their arrival to the US base.
