Military Police to be Moved out of Public Areas

It has two exceptions: the only areas that will continue to be under military protection are the Cankaya Presidential Palace and Anitkabir, Ataturk’s mausoleum. Civilian and public institutions will no longer have a military image, and embassies, consulate offices, museums and coast guard patrols will no longer be the within the army’s jurisdiction. These security services will, instead, be carried out by police and private security companies.
