Message Of Erdogan To Denktas

Asked about his expectations from the meeting among Papadopulos, Denktas and Annan, on his way back from South Korea, Erdogan said, “At the moment, we are awaiting what we want to attain. If that does not happen, then we will do what is necessary. I believe that this issue should be solved in the way necessitated by the interests of Turkey and TRNC and by considering the interests of the Greek side at the same time. This is what we have desired to achieve right from the start. However if you always talk about yourself you cannot achieve this. We should follow a win-win strategy by considering both Greek and Turkish Cyprus. We want the bi-zonality to be enhanced, and the issues of guarantorship and map to be clarified. Greek Cyprus openly says that they have objections to 100 articles of the Annan Plan. Turkish Cyprus has no such an argument.”
