Message from Arafat: Maintain Struggle

Palestinian children carried the names of villages that Israel destroyed, while Palestinian leader Yaser Arafat called on his people to be steadfast in their struggle against Israeli occupation. The death of a Palestinian that Israeli soldiers arrested yesterday in Gaza Strip brought to mind images of the Abu Gharib prison in Iraq.

Elsewhere, about 100 000 Israelis marched in Tel Aviv to show support for Sharon’s Gaza plan.
