Maxx Royal Resort Bodrum Opens in Turkey

Maxx Royal Resort Bodrum has officially opened its doors on a pristine stretch of Bodrum’s peninsula’s northern coastline in southwestern Turkey.

Marking the brand’s third property, all of which are in Turkey but with plans materializing for a fourth in the Maldives next year, Maxx Royal Resort Bodrum is deftly built into the hillside with all-suite and villa accommodation.

Bringing together established international names and local influence, the hotel is vying for a position as one of the region’s most exclusive. Handling the interiors is Istanbul-based firm Geo ID, which has created a vibrant palette that celebrates the landscape beyond. Expect a soothing neutral base with flashes of turquoise and orange. Locally made ceramics, rugs and artworks create a sense of place.

All rooms have private balconies or terraces with views over the Aegean Sea. The top key is the Presidential Villa, which measures in at over 11,400 sq ft and has five bedrooms, a seawater pool, sauna and a Jacuzzi. Guests booking the villa for seven-plus nights will also get a complimentary trip onboard the Maxx Royal yacht.

Aiming to become a culinary destination, Maxx Royal Resort Bodrum is punching high with its restaurant offering. The headline act from the resort’s seven restaurants is an outpost of Wolfgang Puck’s famous Spago, which will serve the chef’s signature American-Italian cuisine (including the famous smoked salmon pizza).

Guests can also look forward to Caviar Kaspia, a decadent Parisian import; The Maine, by Canadian chef Joey Ghazal; and a number of Turkish-inspired restaurants and cafes. Six bars bolster the F&B program.
