Khatemi Ready to Cooperate on Nuclear Issues

Khatemi announced on Sunday (March 14) during a trip to Venezuela that they have decided to temporarily stop uranium enrichment activities even though they did not have to. The Iranian leader said, "We are ready to cooperate with all of the world’s nations in order to build their confidence that we will not produce nuclear weapons." Khatemi confirmed that Iran’s possession of nuclear weapons was a legal and legitimate right and said that the US and Europe could not pressure them to give up their nuclear program. Khatemi also said he is not concerned about the Iranian nuclear file being sent to the United Nations (UN) Security Council.
