Izmir international fair to open Tuesday

Totally 53 countries will attend the fair this year. Ministers and trade undersecretaries from all of these countries will come to the opening of the fair. This year 1,112 companies including 363 foreign companies will attend the fair. Last year 961 companies attended the fair.

The number of visitors was 1,324,000 last year, the target is to reach 1,500,000 this year.

The international part of the fair will last until September 3 and the fair will be closed on September 10.

This year’s concept of the IEF, which is also one of the world’s oldest fair organizations of the world, is Space Technologies and Robots.

American National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) will attend the fair for the first time.

The honourary guest of the fair is Egypt this year and it will be represented at the level of Foreign Trade Ministry. Totally 21 companies from Egypt will attend the fair.
