Italians Got Angry at Prayers in Church

Vilpiano’s mayor Francesco Goia told Hurriyet daily that the wedding of Italian Silvia Maria Borge and Turkish Ahmet Kademoglu had not taken place in the church but in the Municipality and the preacher had overdone, by reading Azan after the Koran in the Church.

Goia told Hurriyet on the phone that "There can be no preachers’ wedding in the St. Petrus and Pavlus Church. The marriage ceremony was held in the Municipality. Borge and Kademoglu came to me saying that they desired a ceremony at Church which is the home of God, just like a mosque, a synagogue. I am for showing tolerance. Otherwise, conflicts between religions, trigger terror."
