Israeli Officers Train Kurds to Take Control on Iraq

The sources told the Egyptian Middle East News Agency (Al-Sharq Al-Awsat) that the zionist officers were training the Kurdish forces on fighting in mountainous areas in addition to airborne missions.

They noted that the officers were deployed in northern Iraq even before outbreak of the Anglo-American war on Iraq.
The sources pointed that a Knesset (Israel parliament) delegation, including two of Kurdish origin, had visited the area recently and met those officers.

The sources said that the Kurdish unit would play an important role in the new Iraqi army in addition to shouldering other missions such as protecting the border area with Turkey.

They pointed out that Israeli experts were currently launching the preliminary technical work to pave the way for the installation of sensitive observation devices along the Iraqi-Turkish borders.
