Israeli Minister Dodges Termination Notice

Elon’s dismissal would be valid 48 hours after receiving the notice. Elon maintains that Sahron’s action is contrary to law and democracy. He added that he would do his best "to put pressure on Sharon".

He is hoping to impede the process so that he can participate in today’s voting on the Gaza plan. However, sources close to Israeli Prime Ministry claim that Elon was terminated and he therefore would not be allowed to participate in the cabinet meeting regardless of what he thinks.

In a statement to military radio, Minister of Justice Yossef Lapid said: "A minister cannot dodge his PM. This is funny. The police need to put a notice in the papers and ask the people for help."

Avigdor Lieberman, who was fired for the same reason, reportedly received his notice.
