Iraqi People Distressed by Uncertainty in Iraq

Doctors and health officials in Baghdad hospitals are carrying out their duties with great self-sacrifice. The doctors said that the death rate had been extremely high during the sanctions period. The lack of medicine and medical supplies in hospitals had reached the breaking point because of the looting that appeared in the aftermath the war. Medical staff members pointed out the difficulties in treating the patients and said that some of the injured were operated on without sedatives due to the lack of medicine.
