Iraqi Deputy Foreign Minister Assassinated

Iraqi Foreign Ministry Spokesman Semir Al-Azami said earlier today that armed men opened fire on Qubba’s car as it was passing through Bagdat’s (Baghdad) Azimiye neighborhood.

Qubba was taken to the hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

An attempt against the life of another Iraqi Deputy, Healt Minister Ammar Al-Safar, had been made last Wednesday.
