Iraq: Shiites protest against ethnic killings

The protest began outside headquarterof the US-led coalition amid slogans of "No to America, no to Saddam." Shiite protestors were backed by a line of Islamic clerics in the march. The protestors lifted banners which denounced the killing of eight ethnic Shiite Turkmen in the northern city of Kirkuk.
US forces increased their presence at the scene to prevent any unrest. The protestors dispersed peacefully at the end of the protest.
